fillers or aus i would love to play running list; if you're interested in any of this, throw up a starter and i am there
steve + peggy
Peggy and Steve's reunion when he returns to the past.
That dance scene. /sobs
Anything about their life afterward.
steve + tony
Conversations about Peggy or Howard, or anything else they'd talk about during their 2-man mission to the past
First time Steve and Tony interact after Tony calls Steve out on how failing together sucks.
Did Steve and Tony ever talk during those 5 years? If so, what did that look like?
[au] Tony survives, but Steve doesn't know that when he goes back in time. So now Steve is really old and Tony is not.
[au] Tony survives and Steve comes back from returning the stones and they rebuild their relationship
steve + natasha
Awful life at Avengers compound before Ant-Man, basically lots of hurt/comfort with each other
[au] When Steve tells Natasha that maybe they should both move on, he asks her out on a date — it becomes a very sad attempt at moving on, but it's also a sad kind of solace.
steve + bucky
Honestly, they barely got any time back together. Steve and Buck MUST have talked before Steve just decided to go back in the past. Possible convo where he admits he's not coming back, and asking Bucky if he wants to return back to their time with him?
steve + anyone
So ... you can so Mjolnir now?
Conversations with various characters when he returns the stones to their rightful place in the past
Someone insisting on going back in time with Steve, and they return all the stones together and this person convinces Steve to come back (or, is convinced that he really doesn't want to)
shuri + anyone
Rebuilding the world from Wakanda
Meeting the other avengers
One-uping our science bros during reconstruction :D
tony stark (AI) + morgan/anyone
I imagine this will be mostly sass.
And with everyone who is not Morgan, this will basically be him joking about how he's going to live forever.
[ ...you hot wired a car once? Steve tilts his head in surprise, raising his own eyebrows. ]
She told you that huh?
[ And given the cars parked near the end of the alleyway — that is a good idea, and Tony will be able to see the admission in the way Steve nods briefly, before turning back around to decide which car looks like the best candidate. ]
C'mon then.
[ He says, with a nod towards the pale green Ford Cortina closest to them. ]
Did she also tell you that I always return the car after?
[ His fingertips search beneath the hood of the car then, and when he finds the right places the push and pull, Steve pops the hood. He doesn't look at the engine or anything else. Instead, all he wants is the long metal rod that helps prop the hood open. Once he pulls that out, he closes it up. Then, he searches the ground for a minute, looking around them in the alleyway until he spots a wooden doorstep right outside someone's backdoor, and crouches down to pick it up. ]
This should work.
[ Then, with a glance at Tony that seems to say No judging he gets to work. He places the door stop near the slit by the top of the window on the driver's side door. Then, with all the strength Steve has, he easily wedges it in between the car door and the car itself. The small opening allows him to slide the metal rod through, and within twenty seconds or so, he's pushed the unlock button from the inside. Steve motions for Tony to get in as he throws the rod into the backseat.
As he gets to work beneath the dash, the engine roars to life after a minute. Frankly, it all looks like the work of a man who's done this many times before. ]
[ He grins at Steve's reaction. It's all the confirmation he needs to know that Natasha hadn't been just messing with him when she'd told him that. The truth is, he hadn't been sure in the moment and Natasha in her ever mysterious way had let him take it as he would.
Who knew Captain America knew how to steal cars? ]
I'd be disappointed if you didn't.
[ Of course Steve returned the car. Probably with a thank you note left on the windshield. He watches Steve as he works, clearly impressed by the efficiency in which he does it. He slides into the passenger seat as the car roars to life. ]
You think you know someone. [ But he's clearly teasing. He reaches for the seatbelt, snapping it into place.] What other devient talents do you have?
no subject
[ He glances down the alley way.] Is it my imagination, or did Natasha tell me you hot wired a car once? [ He raises an eyebrow.]
[ He could probably do it himself if he had to, it just might take him a minute to figure out what he was doing.]
